Meet the Team

Find out more about the team who bring a wealth of experience to Frampton and Babel.

  • I’m Jack Arnold and I’ve been with Frampton and Babel since March 2021. Coming from a completely different background of building supplies, I came not knowing what to expect! I started out as a picker / driver. Following this I then progressed into the transport department which involved planning, routing, maintaining the vehicles and dealing with 3rd party haulers on a daily basis.

I have recently moved into the sales team where I am building up a solid customer base and look forward to progressing further within the company in the future.

  • As a seasoned professional with over 40 years' experience in the meat industry. I started out as a trainee with Swift & Co from where I learnt about the industry and progressed through the business until I took it over aged 39.

Running the whole operation for 20 years, the business had offices across the world and had a turnover in excess of £70m. I bought all of the chilled beef from Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, New Zealand, Australia and Southern Africa for the groups catering contracts and restaurant chains.

I pride myself on being a team player with the ability to source great quality products at competitive prices. I am loving being part of the Frampton and Babel team and am excited for the future success of the business.

  • Hello, my name is Charlie, and I am one of the sales managers here at Frampton and Babel. My position within the company has developed massively within my 3-year stint in the company, starting off learning the trade picking and delivering boxes to now being heavily involved within the sales.

I have always had a sales background, with over 10 years experience in the catering, retail and wholesale trade.

I have a 2:1 degree in management in the public services with the original plan being to join the Navy. 3 years travelling the world later, a wife and two children and I have found myself applying my knowledge of sales to the meat trade.

My hobbies include playing too much golf (the wife’s words not mine), supporting the mighty Bristol bears every week and occasionally trying to snowboard!

  • At Frampton and Babel I oversee all ‘Goods In’ for the business.

I’ve worked within warehouse and food production for over 12 years now. From producing smoothies to making pies, to mechanically fixing and changing over production lines.

I have been at Frampton and Babel for just over 2 years, where I started as a driver. I have pushed myself to learn every aspect of the business and as a result moved full time in the warehouse.

I took it upon myself to study the products and ask questions constantly to further my knowledge, this is where I became “Goods In”. Being the glue in the warehouse for all aspects of the warehouse.

  • Hi! I’m Clare, and I am Frampton and Babel’s Purchase Administrator. I joined the business just before Christmas 2023 and was made to feel extremely welcome from the get-go. Nothing is too much trouble and I’m so pleased to be able to work with a great bunch of people!

I pride myself on attention to detail which is key within this role. Previously, I worked as an Accounts Assistant. I was in this role for 18 years, processing sales invoices, managing claims, setting up new accounts, checking payments, managing statements, and dealing with queries.

I then decided I wanted to have a change in my career and try something new. I saw the vacancy for Frampton and Babel, and I haven’t looked back since!

I’m super excited to be part of this constantly growing company and to progress and grow into my role.

If you ever have the opportunity to come into the office there will always be a warm welcome on your arrival, and you will normally find me in the kitchen making coffee or cooking something delicious for the team in our lovely office kitchen.

Outside of work I am a crazy cat lady! I also love gardening, walking, swimming, eating out, going to the cinema, and spending time with my daughter.

  • Hey I'm Zara, and I am Frampton and Babel's HR Manager. I am committed to the belief that the true strength of any business lies in its people. My approach is not just about policies and procedures (although we do need them!); it's about bringing a human touch to HR, understanding that each individual is unique and that we all have an important part to play in the overall success of the business.

I started out as an apprentice in the NHS when I stumbled across the HR function on a 'insight day' into other career avenues. That same week, a vacancy came up in the HR Assistant team, and I haven't looked back since! Previously to my role with Frampton and Babel, I was a standalone HR Advisor in FMCG, leading a site of 150+ employees. To continue my own personal development, I am currently completing the final year of my Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and CIPD L7 professional registration for HR practitioners.

I've been fortunate enough to watch the company grow since the beginning, so it was a no-brainer for me when the role of HR Manager came up. The innovative culture, commitment to excellence and a focus on employee wellbeing align perfectly with my own core values.

In the ever-evolving field of HR, I am a strong advocate for continuous learning. Staying informed of industry trends and best practices ensure that Frampton and Babel remains a workplace where people thrive.

When I am not working, I am spending time with my husband and our two children, walking the dog or procrastinating about booking a gym class! I also love to travel and live for those memories. I find joy in experiencing new places and cultures and my love for travel mirrors my approach to HR - open minded, curious and always ready to embrace something new.

  • I’m Adrian Mclaughlin and have recently joined the Frampton and Babel Sales Team as our new Sales Manager.

My career in the meat trade started in 1986 just before leaving school when I worked in the afternoons for a local meat wholesaler in Street, Somerset. On leaving school I accepted a job with them on a YTS scheme. And soon realised that the sales side of the business was my true interest.

The rest is history, we moved to EEC premises in Glastonbury producing Veal and Beef where he managed to secure business with a retail company in South Wales with 42 shops and soon after a large shipping contract for Veal with a company in Fareham. I was made Sales Manager in the early 90`s and went on to be appointed sales director in 2014.

After 37 years in the trade I am fortunate to have the opportunity to make my mark now at Frampton and Babel with an experienced friendly team. I am now excited for future success for myself and Frampton and Babel.

  • I have a background in Retail Management and Lighting Design.

I've had the pleasure of working for Frampton and Babel for the last 2 years, completing numerous courses to become the company's Technical Manager.

What I enjoy about working for the company is the working relationship we all have together and the want to go the extra mile for our Customer Base, continuously delivering a first-class service.

  • I joined Frampton and Babel October 2022 as a Credit Controller having worked for over 30 years within a finance and accounting environment spanning a range of different industries.

Having grown up in Devon on a dairy farm from where my parents also ran a haulage business, I observed firsthand the importance of understanding your business and the commitment this involves.

I began my career within a purchase ledger department of a corporate backed agricultural merchants. I was relocated to Dorset following acquisition where I studied AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) completing three years of qualifications alongside working as an administrative lead within the agrochemical arm of the business. I continued my career development by moving to a paint manufacturing company which involved all aspects of financial control leading to being appointed as company secretary. Prior to joining Frampton and Babel, I held a position as Credit Control Lead for an IT and communications corporate overseeing cash collection across four businesses.

The last year has been an exciting one building customer relationships and further developing my role. I am proud to be part of a team with such an extensive collective knowledge of the industry it serves. The company is focused on developing strong customer and supplier relationships, whilst continuing to self-improve. I am looking forward to being part of the Frampton and Babel journey as it continues and am delighted to now be the company’s Financial Controller.

  • My career in the meat industry started over 20 years ago, following in the footsteps of my father and brother. I have worked from slaughter through to supplying the number one supermarket in the UK, including planning, sales, purchasing, carcass / product selection and much more. I currently look after the purchasing, do a little selling and I’m heavily involved in the development of our IT systems within Frampton and Babel.

Having known Carl Winstanley, the owner of Frampton and Babel for nearly 30 years I am proud to see how driven he has become, and to be part of the business from the very early days.

I’m a keen fisherman, and enjoy taking my son carp fishing, and more recently my daughter to catch a roach or perch or two.
